GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay women's soccer team (2-8-3, 0-4-1
Horizon League) continues its three-match road trip on Tuesday when it travels
to Chicago to face Loyola (6-10-1, 4-2-1 Horizon League) at 7 p.m. at the Loyola
Soccer Park. It marks the first of three matches in the next six days for the
Phoenix.
Loyola
owns a slight advantage in the all-time series, holding an 11-9-2 record
against the Phoenix. Last season, the two teams fought to a 0-0 overtime tie on
Sept. 22 at Santaga Stadium.
Green
Bay is coming off a tough, 1-0 overtime loss at Milwaukee on Friday night. The
Phoenix kept the Panthers off the board until the 100th minute when Milwaukee's
Keara Thompson scored the game-winner just seconds before the first overtime
period ended. Green Bay junior goalkeeper Maddie
Drusch (Appleton, Wis.) recorded nine saves in the match.
Loyola
enters Tuesday's match in the second-place spot in the Horizon League. The
Ramblers are also coming off a one-goal loss to Milwaukee, falling 2-1 at home
on Sunday.
