- For the third
consecutive weekend, the Green Bay volleyball team returns to the state of Iowa
for a tournament. The Phoenix will play four matches in the Hampton Inn Bulldog
Challenge hosted by Drake, beginning with contests against Stephen F. Austin
and Drake on Friday. Green Bay will then face Idaho State and South Dakota on
Saturday.
Green Bay's
match with Stephen F. Austin will kick off the tournament at 10 a.m. Friday
morning. The Phoenix will then be back on the court at 2:30 p.m. against the host
Bulldogs. Green Bay will be looking for revenge against Drake after falling 3-1
last Friday. Saturday's matches against Idaho State and South Dakota will be at
10 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectively.
Senior Whitney Schott (Roscoe, Ill.) earned a
spot on the all-tournament team in last weekend's Drake Invite. She totaled 95
assists while helping the Phoenix to a 1-2 record and a victory over Southern
Utah.
Freshman Kara Lindstedt (Shoreview, Minn.) will
be looking to build off an impressive weekend. She recorded a career-high 18
kills Sunday to lead Green Bay to a thrilling 3-2 win over South Dakota State.

Opener Drawing Near: After beginning the season with 12 games away from home, Green Bay's
