INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Green Bay women's tennis player Emily Lawent (Milwaukee, Wis.) was named to the All-Horizon League first team, the conference
announced Friday night at its awards banquet. Postseason honors were voted upon
by the league's head coaches.
Lawent, a junior, posted a 10-8 singles mark on the year,
which included a 5-3 ledger in league matches. She led the Phoenix in victories
while playing all her matches at the No. 1 spot. She also sported a 9-10 record
in doubles action, highlighted by an 8-5 mark when playing in the top spot.
She is the first Phoenix player to take home all-conference
honors since Heather Harding was a second-team selection in 2007.
