GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay Athletics Department launched a new media player on Monday that houses all of its video content in one easy-to-use format on GreenBayPhoenix.com. The new player, an Adobe Flash Media Portal, uses the latest technology and is currently utilized by just a handful of universities across the country, including Ohio State, LSU and Iowa State.

The player is Flash-based, which is more user-compatible for the majority of fans, and is also channel-based, which will allow for easier navigating of the video content.

"We are excited to launch our new media player," Athletics Director Ken Bothof said. "We have been very pleased with our web site, and feel that this exciting addition will allow our fans an even better user experience in the future."

The new technology was unveiled by JumpTV in late August. Green Bay and JumpTV began their partnership in July with the launch of GreenBayPhoenix.com. Since its launch, GreenBayPhoenix.com has had more than 15,500 video views in 4 ½ months, including 12,300 since Sept. 1. Some of the most popular content includes: coaches shows, game highlights, live game events, player video biographies and weekly sports updates.
