John O'Reilly joined the Phoenix staff in 2015 after a two-year stint at Georgetown.  He will assist in all aspects of the men's soccer program.

In 2013, O'Reilly helped the Hoyas return to the NCAA Tournament as the sixth-overall seed before falling in the Sweet 16. Along the way, the Blue & Gray won the program's fourth BIG EAST Regular Season Championship, advanced to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship and spent the entire season in the national rankings. The squad set a new program record in shutouts with 12 and led the country in shutout percentage (0.67) as well as ranking second in save percentage (0.884) and team GAA (0.46).

Individually, the Hoyas had two All-Americans in Steve Neumann and Brandon Allen. Neumann went on to be the No. 4 overall draft pick in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft and classmate Joey Dillon followed in the third round. In the BIG EAST, the team garnered five All-BIG EAST honors and had the Offensive, Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year as well as the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year. As an assistant coach and the recruiting director at Babson, the Beavers posted a record of 60-17-10 while winning a pair of NEWMAC titles and receiving four-consecutive NCAA Tournament berths including trips to the Sweet 16 in 2010 and 2011.

O'Reilly graduated from Lehigh University where he was a two-time all-conference and all-region selection while earning team MVP, Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and NSCAA First Team All-America. In fall of 2006, he helped lead the Mountain Hawks to a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

O'Reilly's professional experience includes the Cincinnati Kings in Ohio and the Vaerlose Boldklub in Denmark. As an amateur and youth player he won a Super Y-League National Championship with the Boston Bulldogs and a PDL National Championship with the Cape Cod Crusaders.
