The event will feature Ernie Johnson, Clark Kellogg, Jerry Colangelo, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith. Former winners of the award include: Homer Drew, Clark Kellogg, David Robinson, Don Meyer, Charlie Ward, Mark Price and Jerry Colangelo. Current Phoenix head coach Brian Wardle will be in attendance at the Legends Breakfast.

“I am excited for Coach Bennett to receive this prestigious honor,” said Wardle. “This is a very noteworthy award in the game of basketball which recognizes excellence on and off the basketball court, and Coach Bennett is extremely deserving. Coach Bennett was instrumental in building the great tradition of Green Bay Basketball and has been a mentor of mine as I have started my head coaching career. I look forward to being in attendance as he accepts this award at the Final Four.”

The head coach at Green Bay from 1985-95, Bennett compiled a record of 187-109 in 10 seasons at the helm of the Phoenix program. Bennett guided the Phoenix to three NCAA Tournaments, two appearances in the NIT and two Mid-Continent Conference championships.

A graduate of Ripon College, Bennett also served as the head coach at UW-Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Washington State. In 2000, Bennett guided Wisconsin to the Final Four. He has an overall coaching record of 489-307.

Bennett's son, Tony, is the head coach at the Virginia, who will be playing Green Bay at the Resch Center during the 2013-14 season.
