DAYTON, Ohio.
(GreenBayPhoenix.com) - With the winning streak now at 10 games, the Green Bay women's basketball
team (15-2, 5-0 HL) will look to sweep the season series against Wright State
(9-9, 3-2 HL) in a Monday night battle with the Raiders at the Nutter Center.
The Phoenix will try to win its 23rd straight matchup against Wright State in a
game that tips off at 6 p.m. central time.
Green Bay is coming off a 78-55 win at Valparaiso on Saturday
that featured four players scoring in double figures. The Phoenix had one of
its best offensive outings of the 2012-13 season against the Crusaders,
shooting a season-high 59.6 percent from the floor. The team's 78 points was
the most since a 79-48 win against Richmond on Nov. 24, and senior Adrian Ritchie (De Pere, Wis.) was just
two rebounds and two assists shy from notching the second triple-double in
program history.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS: Wright State is currently in a
three-way tie for second place in the Horizon League and has won its last two
games. The Raiders picked up a 67-56 road win at Loyola on Jan. 19, and
followed it up with a 59-51 victory over UIC on Thursday.
FIRST TIME AROUND: The Phoenix defeated Wright State
71-44 at home on Jan. 12 and shut down Horizon League Preseason Player of the
Year Kim Demmings in the process. Green Bay held Demmings, who turned the ball
over seven times, to a career-low three points on 1-13 shooting. Senior Sarah Eichler (Grafton, Wis.) led the
Phoenix with 24 points, her second game scoring more than 20 points on the
season.

CLOSING IN ON 1,000: Senior Sarah Eichler enters Monday's
game with 958 points after scoring 11 in the win at Valparaiso. Eichler is on
pace to become the 31st member of the Green Bay women's basketball 1,000-point
club, and the second to achieve this feat this season after Adrian Ritchie did
so against Indianapolis on Nov. 30.
RANGER'S NO STRANGER TO
SCORING: Redshirt
junior Breannah Ranger (Skokie,
Ill.) scored 11 points in the win at Valparaiso while only missing one shot
from the field in the game. Ranger is averaging 6.3 points per game and has
become a dominant post threat off the bench. She's shooting a team-high 59.4
percent from the field and also pulls down 4.1 rebounds per game.
ZESTY ZASTROW: Redshirt junior Sam Zastrow (Algoma, Wis.) continued her hot streak at Valparaiso,
scoring a season-high four points while not missing a shot from the field.
Zastrow played a career-high 18 minutes at Youngstown State and has now pushed
her average to 5.8 minutes per game, providing a spark off the bench at guard.
WHAT'S ON TAP: Green Bay will return home for the
first time since Jan. 12 to host UIC on Saturday, Feb. 2. The Phoenix will hit
the road again on Feb. 7 for a 7 p.m. battle at Loyola before hosting Milwaukee
on Feb. 9 for Alumni Night.
