GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Head coach Brian Wardle and the Green Bay men's basketball program will host the 2012 Green Bay Basketball Golf Outing presented by American Family Insurance on Monday, Aug. 6 at beautiful Green Bay Country Club. Coach Wardle invites all Phoenix fans and supporters to join him and his staff along with American Family Insurance for an afternoon of golf followed by a social hour, an awards presentation and an oral auction. Registration is still open, but spots are filling up quickly.

The outing begins with registration at 10:30 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon. Refreshments and hor d'oeuvres will be served following golf and a live auction and an awards presentation will conclude the day. All participants will have the opportunity to meet Green Bay's coaching staff and players while helping to support the program.

Foursomes can register to play for $1500 while individuals can sign up for $375 apiece. Registration costs include golf and cart fees, lunch, giveaways and refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.

Foursomes and individuals can register by filling out and mailing in the registration form or by calling 920.465.2145.

The Phoenix program returns four starters from a team that won eight of its last 10 regular season games. Alec Brown, a First-Team All-Horizon League selection in 2011-12, and Keifer Sykes, an All-Newcomer Team pick, headline the returnees. To learn more about the 2012-13 Green Bay squad, click here.
