GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Sports Video Group held its annual College Sports
Video Summit on June 7-8 in Atlanta, and Green Bay was selected as an honorable
mention choice in the "special feature" category for its Phoenix Flix
production History of Green Bay Women's
Basketball.
The
unique video feature highlights the storied history of the women's basketball program
at Green Bay and was produced by Ryan Hartwig. Executive producers on the project
included Jill Wunrow and Adam Halfmann.
Those
who give perspective on the program throughout the feature are former head
coach Carol Hammerle, team physician Dr. James Hinckley, current Green Bay
players and head coach Matt Bollant.
The video debuted at halftime of the Horizon League Men's Basketball Game of
the Week on Feb. 26.
"This
is an impressive recognition for our athletics department and a statement on
the hard work and creativity, not only on this project but throughout the year,
of producer Ryan Hartwig as well as Adam Halfmann and Jill Wunrow," said Director
of Athletics Communications Andrew Gavin.
"To be viewed among the high-profile schools in this category is an
accomplishment and a proud achievement for our department."
Green
Bay was in good company with the award winner in the category produced by the University
of Oregon. Other finalists included: University of Michigan, University of
Dayton, Stanford University, Gamecock Productions/South Carolina Athletics and
the Atlantic Coast Conference. Other honorable mention selections were:
Mountaineer Sports Network/West Virginia, Oregon, West Coast Conference, UCLA, West
Virginia, Marquette, Quinnipiac and the University of Georgia IMG New Media.
