GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Green Bay's Rahmon Fletcher (Kansas City, Mo.), who completed a standout career with the men's
basketball program in March, worked out with the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday as
the team held its second day of NBA Draft workouts in Milwaukee.
Fletcher
worked out with five other players on Thursday, including UCLA's Tyler
Honeycutt, Rhode Island's Delroy James, Arkansas' Delvon Johnson, Tomislav
Zubcic of Croatia and Iowa State's Diante Garrett.
The
senior who finished his Green Bay career with 1,678 career points and 438
assists talked highly of the experience to attend the workout, especially just
down the road in Milwaukee.
"Whenever
you can work out for a team that's close to where you went to school at is a
plus," said Fletcher. "They're a good organization and I'm kind of used to the
city as well so it was just a pleasure to be here. I played against good
guards, and even though they were 6-5 and up, I had to hold my own no matter
what, no excuses. With the talent out there, t was a good group of guys."
Green
Bay head coach Brian Wardle was able
to attend the workouts to see the All-Horizon League performer play, something Fletcher
said made him feel at home.
"To
know somebody that has your back and works for you the way he does for me, even
though he was my head coach for one year, he's been in the program for numerous
years, just to know that he has my back is a plus for me."
