GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - After back-to-back victories, the Green Bay men's basketball team looks to close out the regular season riding a winning streak as the Phoenix visits Cleveland State Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Wolstein Center. The Phoenix finishes Horizon League play against the same team that it started against back on Dec. 2, 2010.

Saturday's game is the Horizon League Game of the Week and will be televised live in Green Bay on My New 32 and Time Warner Sports 32. Greg Rakestraw and Bob Lovell will be calling the action.

After an overtime victory over Valparaiso at home on Monday, Green Bay carried the win over to a strong effort on the road on Thursday at Youngstown State. The defense kept YSU to just 36.7 percent shooting and the Phoenix held a 39-31 rebounding edge in a 71-60 win over the Penguins. Seniors Bryquis Perine (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Rahmon Fletcher (Kansas City, Mo.) combined for 37 points in the victory.

In the first meeting between the two teams, CSU knocked down 10 of 14 three-pointers and senior guard Norris Cole scored 26 points in a 83-75 Cleveland State win over Green Bay. The senior guard leads the Horizon League in scoring at 21.6 points per contest. Perine scored 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting for the Phoenix, who outrebounded the Vikings 34-27.

Cleveland State, now tied at the top of the Horizon League standings, has lost two-straight games, including an 87-83 loss to Milwaukee on Thursday night. Cole had 27 points in the game for the Vikings.

The Phoenix leads the all-time series with CSU, 36-25 and has 13 wins out of 28 games played in Cleveland.

PHOENIX NOTES

• INSIDE THE SERIES: Green Bay leads the all-time series with Cleveland State 36-25 and is 13-15 overall in Cleveland. The Vikings won last season's meeting at the Wolstein Center 64-50 on Jan. 22, 2010.
• THE LAST MEETING: Cole scored 26 points on 5-of-14 shooting in CSU's victory on Dec. 2, but he also connected on 15 of his 16 free throws. Perine scored 22 points and freshman Alec Brown added 15 points for the Phoenix, but Fletcher was held to nine.
• BOARDWORK: Green Bay has outrebounded both of its opponents this week, including a 39-31 edge on the glass against Youngstown State on Thursday. Senior Greg LeSage (Radcliff, Ky.) had a career-high nine rebounds off the Phoenix bench while Daniel Turner (McCordsville, Ind.) grabbed eight and Fletcher added seven. 
• PERINE PUSHING PHOENIX: Perine has been impressive in Green Bay's two wins this week, scoring 20 points Monday against Valparaiso and 19 on Thursday at Youngstown State. The senior has hit 15-of-27 shots in the two games and scored 32 of his points after halftime.
• AMONG THE BEST: Fletcher is winding down one of the best individual careers in Green Bay history, and the guard is still working his way up the all-time scoring ledger. He now has 1,662 career points and is just six points shy of passing Mike Schactner (2006-09) and moving into fifth place.
• RECORD BREAKER: Brown blocked two shots at Youngstown State, extending his single-season blocks record to 64. He is averaging 2.1 per game, and the freshman broke the single-season record previously shared by Larry Hill (1991-92) and Terry Evans (2006-07). Brown, who ranks third in the Horizon League in blocks per game, also holds the school records for block in a game, blocks in a game at the Resch Center and blocks in a season by a freshman.
• BROWN GETTIN' BUCKETS: Brown had the best game of his young career Monday night against Valparaiso, posting career highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds. The 7-foot-1 center added two blocked shots and hit 7-of-14 shots from the field and all eight of his free throws. Brown followed that up with 12 points on Thursday night at Youngstown State.
