GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Freshman Kam Cerroni (Sussex, Wis.) is known as a shooter. He scored a school-record
1,377 points in high school despite playing just three seasons at Sussex High
School, and he has knocked down six threes in his last three games for Green
Bay. In the most recent installment of Flying
with the Phoenix presented by Frontier Airlines, Cerroni tests his shooting
prowess in a game of H-O-R-S-E against his head coach, Brian Wardle.
Wardle was a shooter himself during his playing days,
scoring 1,690 career points during a standout career at Marquette University
from 1997-2001. The first-year coach and Chicago native is returning to his
hometown this weekend to lead Cerroni and the Phoenix against UIC Thursday at 7
p.m. and Loyola Saturday at 3 p.m.
The feature originally aired Feb. 8 as a feature on
Inside Phoenix Basketball, a weekly coaches show dedicated to Green Bay's men's
and women's basketball teams.
Green Bay will return home on Tuesday, Feb. 15,
