against the Panthers starts a three-game road trip for head coach Brian Wardle and his young Phoenix team,
who are a half-game behind Milwaukee in the Horizon League standings.

Hill leads the Panthers in scoring (13.6 ppg) but made just 2-for-14 shots in
the first meeting between the two squads.
PHOENIX NOTES
- INSIDE THE SERIES:
Green Bay leads the all-time series with the Panthers 26-18, including
two-straight victories. The Phoenix is 9-11 in 20 meetings in Milwaukee, with
its last road win in the series coming with a 77-75 overtime victory on Jan. 9,
2009.
- THE LAST MEETING: The Phoenix used a 20-3 run midway through the second
half to stretch a three-point halftime lead into an 18-point edge as Green Bay
posted a 69-64 win over Milwaukee on Jan. 8. Senior guards Bryquis Perine (17)
and Rahmon Fletcher (13) scored 30 points in the game against the Panthers.
- MILWAUKEE'S BEST: Perine, a Milwaukee native who attended Vincent High
School, has fared well this season in games against teams from his hometown.
The southpaw scored 21 points at Marquette on Nov. 17, 2010 and then tallied a
team-high 17 points in the January win over Milwaukee.
- TOP-10 OF ALL-TIME: Fletcher continues to work his way up the Green Bay
scoring chart. On pace to finish his career in fifth place all-time, Fletcher
is currently in seventh place on the scoring ledger. He has 1,558 career points
and is the fourth active Horizon League player with 1,500 career points,
joining Butler's Matt Howard, Cleveland State's Norris Cole and Wright State's
Vaughn Duggins.
- RECORD BREAKER: Freshman Alec Brown (Winona, Minn.) totaled seven blocks last weekend, including six
against Wright State last Friday, to break the single-season block record at
Green Bay. The freshman has 51 blocks this season, averaging 2.2 per game, and
broke the record previously shared by Larry Hill (1991-92) and Terry Evans
(2006-07). The 7-foot-1 freshman also holds the school records for block in a
game, blocks in a game at the Resch Center and blocks in a season by a
freshman.
- CONNECTIONS: Including Perine as a Milwaukee native, there are
numerous connections between the two programs and cities. Junior Jarvis Williams is also a Milwaukee
native and attended Bradley Tech. Williams also played with Milwaukee's Kaylon
Williams at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa, where Green Bay assistant coach
Jimmie Foster coached Jarvis and recruited Kaylon. Foster is a Milwaukee native
who played his high school basketball at Rufus King High School. Finally, Green
Bay head coach Brian Wardle and assistant coach Brian Barone played their
college basketball in Milwaukee at Marquette. Milwaukee head coach Rob Jeter
was an assistant coach at Marquette for on season while Wardle was a player.
